Next Generation MacBook Pro And New MacBook Air - WWDC Day 1

The WWDC 2012 commences with the grand launch of the next generation Macbook Pro and the new 2012 MacBook Air. This is the first ever Macbook Pro with Retina display. Apple claims it to be the most beautiful computer they have ever made.The new Macbook Air ships today with the new Ivy processor.



All You Need To Know About Next Generation MacBook Pro :

  • World's highest resolution, the 15.4" gives you a pixel density of 2880x1800, 220 ppi numbers.
  • 2.3GHz quad core processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage.
  • Glass Trackpad, backlit keyboard, 802.11n Wi-Fi and 4.0 Bluetooth.
  • SD card slot, HDMI, USB 3, headphone jack, FaceTime camera, dual mic.
  • Higher contrast ratios, super viewing angles and reduced glare.
  • The new MacBook Pro is shipping today, starting at $2,199.
As for the other specs, you'll get up to 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA Kepler GT 650M graphics, up to a quad-core 2.7GHz Core i7 processor, a maximum 768GB of storage (SSD, naturally), and a promised seven hours of battery life with 30 days standby.

  • 11″ model remains the same but get a lil' thinner with a 1366 x 768 resolution, you'll get a 720p FaceTime HD camera.
  • New Ivy Bridge processors maxing out with 2GHz dual core i7 processors.
  • You can now have up to 8GB of 1600MHz RAM and has 512GB of flash memory.
  • New two USB 3.0 ports and a 13" model will also be available right from today.
  • The 2012 MacBook Air will retail for $999 at the lowest end, and will touch $1,099 if you want the faster processor.
The new MacBook Pro looks awesome and looks the best computer ever made till date. It was the first day and Apple shocked us with such great things.
